Shanghai Shenhua, one of China's most successful football clubs, has lost one of its greatest players in Yu Hanchao.
The club announced on Monday that Yu had passed away at the age of 42 after a long battle with cancer.
Yu was a true legend for Shanghai Shenhua, having played for the team from 1998 to 2017. He was known for his incredible skill and dedication to the sport,Serie A Stadium and he was a key member of the team's success over the years.
In addition to his playing career, Yu was also a respected coach and manager, serving as head coach of the Chinese national team from 2006 to 2007.
Despite his passing, Yu will always be remembered as one of the greats of Chinese football. His legacy will live on through the memories of those who knew him and the countless fans who loved him.
